| The UK-SL Friends & Marriage Bureau
was incorporated in April 2006 in Sri Lanka. The
business registration number is AA5923.
The Bureau is jointly owned by a husband and wife
team John and Shamila. John is responsible for the
UK Operation and Shamila looks after the Bureau’s
affairs in Sri Lanka.
The Bureau is different from all others as
it alone offers its members and British clients a
comprehensive, inclusive and dedicated personal service
from first meeting to marriage ceremony (where applicable)
The Bureau and its website exists to facilitate the
integration of Sri Lankan men and women with British
men and women, in order to foster close friendships,
relationships and marriages between these two historically
linked countries.
The Bureau uses a range of tools in which to achieve
its aims and to promote its website, including print
media advertising within the UK, online advertising,
poster campaigns and affiliations with other Bureau’s
operating within both the UK and Sri Lanka markets.
The Bureau’s services are available to all
those seeking friendships, relationships and marriages
with UK and Sri Lankan nationals, provided that they
meet the Bureau’s contractual requirements.
(See Contract
for details) However only Sri Lankan citizens
may become paid up members of the Bureau. There is
no charge to foreign clients using this site to meet
Sri Lankan citizens.
Foreign nationals may contact Bureau members via
the site by forwarding messages to the relevant member,
via the sites interactive facility.
British men and women have been engaging in friendships,
relationships and marriage with Sri Lankan men &
women for well over 200 years. There is a long standing
history of mutual interest and compatibility between
these two historic, cultured island races. The Bureau
aims to continue and where possible enhance this noble
tradition between these two great nations of the Commonwealth.
