CONTRACT
AGREEMENT FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS
THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED TO SRI LANKAN AND BRITISH
CITIZENS PRIMARILY, ALTHOUGH GUESTS FROM ANY OTHER
COUNTRY MAY REGISTER HERE AT THE BUREAU'S DISCRETION..
This is a legally binding agreement between you and the UK-SL Friends & Marriage Bureau. Before registering on line please ensure that you have read and understood the terms of use detailed herein. By becoming a member or guest member of the Bureau, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agree to be bound by the conditions detailed below, for the duration of your membership
The following terms are subject to change by the Bureau at any time and at the Bureau's discretion. Amendements will be propagated to members and guests by way of e mail and will become effective immediately or at the Bureau's discretion.
Membership of the Bureau is limited to Sri Lankan citizens. Foreign nationals may register as guests of the Bureau but are not accepted as full members only guest members.
Guest membership of the Bureau for foreign nationals is totally free of charge, whilst the current enrolment fee for Sri Lankan citizens to become full members is 50.000 rupees. This fee will increase to 100.000 rupees on the 1st January 2008. Sri Lankan citizens wishing to become members of the Bureau should contact the Bureau for payment details. Sri Lankan members profiles will not be uploaded to the site until the full membership fee is paid.
All Bureau members are required by the Bureau to learn good English and failure to do so may result in the termination of membership without recompense.
Sri Lankan members should note that in addition to the inital enrolement fee, there is an addition charge of 50.000 rupees payable to the Bureau, upon the Bureau's location of a suitable marriage partner, which must be paid prior to the marriage ceremony.
Applications for full or guest membership of the Bureau will be considered by the Bureau and accepted or declined without reference to the applicant at the sole discretion of the Bureau and without explanation.
Membership of the Bureau is soley for the members personal use and may not be assigned or transfered to any other person.
You are soley responsible for the veracity of the information provided to the Bureau for publication on the Bureau's site. You are also soley responsible for any information transmitted to other members or guests whilst a member or guest member of the Bureau.
You agree not to post or transmit to any other member or guest member, any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, sexually abusive or explicit, threatening or racially abusive material. The Bureau reserves the right to delete any member or guest member violating this code without notice or financial recompense to full members affected.
You will provide the Bureau with current, accurate and complete information including your e mail address, as detailed in our registration document to be completed by all members and guests upon registration.
You will use the Bureau in a manner consistant with all applicable laws pertaining in the UK and Sri Lanka and in accordance with the terms and conditions of use contained herein. You will not engage in any advertising of services or sale of goods, you must also refrain from the transmission of junk mail or/or chain letters via the Bureau.
You are soley responsible for your interactions with other members and/or guests to the Bureau's site. The Bureau shall have no obligation to monitor or mediate in disputes between parties using the Bureau's site.
Your registration as a member or guest member of the Bureau is soley at the discretion of the Bureau and the Bureau's decision will be final. Once the registration process is completed, all members and guest members will be deemed to have read and accepted the terms of use detailed herein and agree to be legally bound by them.
